Round and round she goes. The Dizzy Race will spin you on your head and leave your eyes rolling in their sockets. Zooming through this zany zone will require fast reflexes as you encounter platforms that spin, water wheels, and every manner of twisty turns. Not to mention the terrifying tarbabies... Tar on your ball will seriously slow you down!

–Pre-Race Description in Tournament

Overview[]

The Dizzy Race is the fourth race in the Hamsterball tournament. As its name says, it is predominantly made of dizzy parts, like a rotating platform, a couple downhill spirals, and a water wheel. Tar, Tarbabies, and Tippers make a debut in this race.

This is the 3rd one of classical races in PS3 edition, which can be played in Stunt Mode and Trial Mode.

Road Description[]

Dizzy Race starts with a spiral downhill. After that, there is a tube and a small descent. Pass through the rotating platform (recommended at high speed) and over a bridge, and you'll find yourself at another spiral downhill. At the bottom you'll find several blockers (see Hazards section) in your way. Go through them carefully, then proceed past the tar pit. If you fall in the pit, it will take a significant amount of time to respawn. Tarbabies are time-consuming too and they make you slow, so try to avoid them. Advance to the water wheel and carefully finish the race.

Visual Appearance[]

Dizzy Race is colored in green-ish turquoise

Small Parts are deep green.

The background color is jade.

  • Spinny Platform

  • At the Tar Pit, go on the path that takes you around the right of the pit. Go through the rails and carry on through the hidden route to the lock. Dizzy Arena is now unlocked. See Gallery for location image.

Trivia[]

  • 8-Ball makes a cameo appearance in this race, he is seen in the background and its spot is unreachable (see Gallery). If you have really good aim, control, and timing, you can jump onto the 8-Ball from above, sending it flying.
  • It is unknown whether the Tar Pit is considered an enemy or an obstacle.
  • Tippers, because of their clicking noise, are sometimes called "clickers", and are also simply known as "blockers". MrMenCentral refers to them as "Foldups," which originated when he said, "Hey, what's the Foldup?" when blocked by one.
  • Dizzy Arena features a rotating platform, similar to one in the Dizzy Race.
  • In the section above the 8-Ball, there's a specific corner on the right-hand side of the platform that makes your hamster glitch out when you roll on it. If approached at the right angle, it can fling your hamster ridiculously far, and as such, has been dubbed the 'Dizzy Rocket.'
    • Certain Hamsterball speedrunners have been able to use the Dizzy Rocket to launch themselves directly onto the goal!
    • It doesn't save any time, though, as it normally takes 800 seconds to achieve this feat. It serves as fun bragging rights, though.
  • The Dizzy Race has the most skips by far as of right now.
  • The Dizzy Race is the first race to have an unlockable arena.
